MMOBOMB
Aug 17, 2024
If you were all keyed up to hop into Throne and Liberty on September 17th, it's time to temper that excitement a bit as today Amazon Games has announced that the MMORPG's launch in their supported regions will be delayed until October 1st. Head start will begin on September 26th for those of you that purchased Founder's Packs.
The team says the primary reason for the delay is because "fully implementing community feedback and integrating new systems will take additional time."
On the beta feedback side of this equation, we're mainly talking about combat changes and updates to progression and guilds. Beta players thought combat was actually pretty good, but only after you got through an initial slog where it didn't feel as great. Skill acquisition rate improvements, new camera controls, and better tab-targeting will be added. Progression will see the systems introduced to players spread out a little more to avoid overwhelming new players and guilds will get additional recruiting tagging to ease the search for a new home.
Since release in Korea, Throne and Liberty has had some additions that western beta players would love to see in the MMO at launch. While these won't be all of the additions (a roadmap for the 2 months after launch will come soon), the videos below show off the planned addition of an improved skill specialization system, the addition of cooking and fishing lifeskills, and the inclusion of the Amitoi Expeditions and Amitoi Housing.
Two extra weeks. You can wait that long, right?
