MMOBOMB
May 28, 2024
Things are happening with NCSoft’s Throne & Liberty. But, it’s probably not the kinds of things those waiting for the game in the West were hoping to hear about. According to a report from South Korea’s MTN (translated by MassivelyOP), producer Ahn Jong-wook has stepped down. Replacing him will be Choi Moon-young, who until now has been the game’s executive director.
This doesn’t seem to have had any practical impact on NCSoft wanting to bring the MMORPG to other countries. For now, the company still plans to launch the game sometime this year with the help of Amazon. In fact, MTN has indicated that the two companies will be meeting to discuss how they want to go about things.
On an additional note, those plans may also include a mobile version. According to the report, this may come after the global version is launched. Right now, they’re apparently just considering it.
