Here’s an update from one of the developers of UNITED 1944.
In a new report, Novarama Live Ops Producer Jake (SheikSama on Discord) outlined the current state of the multiplayer FPS game and what the future looks like. Despite facing challenges such as server population issues affecting sales and reviews, the team said they remain dedicated to the game's long-term success. Acknowledging community feedback regarding the need for more marketing efforts, Novarama emphasized their commitment to improving the game itself as a means to attract and retain players.
The recently released demo for UNITED 1944 brought in 10,000 new unique players. However, the problem of empty lobbies persists. To address this, the team is introducing a new game mode called Skirmish — designed to offer quicker access and play with smaller maps and reduced player requirements.
Novarama will target player retention and ensure a full gaming experience as part of their "Summer Offensive'' plan. It includes regular updates aimed at addressing friction points within the game loop and collecting player feedback. The team said they’ll also increase interaction with the community through developer streams and voice Q&A sessions on Discord.
