MMOBOMB
Feb 24, 2024
The 56th Warframe is coming in March, and with it comes a new mission type, an Inaros rework, and other quality-of-life improvements. Today the shooter hosted its monthly dev stream, and they talked about all this and more.
Warframe Dante is, of course, front and center in the Dante Unbound update. The dev team went over some of the Warframe's abilities including how it summons its own Exalted Weapon, a Tome called Noctua, to replace any currently equipped secondary weapon. Dante can cast light or dark Verses to increase allies' max health or draw needles to inflict Slash Damage on nearby enemies. Dante was inspired by classic MMO casters, and the pattern of abilities used changes the spell combo's ultimate finishing ability, Final Verse.
The new mission type coming to Warframe is Deep Archimedea, an amalgamation of three different existing mission types that must be played in succession with no breaks. The mission composition will change weekly.
Warframe Inaros is getting a fresh coat of paint with a rework that includes a more engaging passive ability, guaranteed status effect triggers, and overall changes to the base kit. Notable changes include separating the Scarab Armor mechanic into its own ability, replacing Devour with an improved Sandstorm touting faster summoning and movement speeds, and, most notably, granting the Scarab Swarm ultimate a chance to summon sandy friendlies into the fray.
The next Devstream will be live from PAX East on March 22nd at 3 PM ET. The team has teased some major announcements for that event, and we'll definitely keep you updated when they make those announcements.
