MMOBOMB
Oct 11, 2024
Yesterday we got a look at the first battle pass that will launch in New World: Aeternum when the MMORPG releases on October 15th. Now Amazon Games is back with another battle pass FAQ, this time for Throne and Liberty. Yes, the two passes behave in an almost identical fashion.
Yes, the pass has actually been available since launch, so you've likely already made progress if you've been playing, but now it's "blog" official.
If you remember back to the Throne and Liberty cash shop reveal, you'll remember that the premium version of the battle pass can only be purchased with Lucent, the MMO's cash shop currency. While the pass does feature a free track, free-to-play players that don't want to spend cash will need to sell things on the game's auction house to earn some Lucent to purchase the battle pass. It'll set you back 500 Lucent or $10 USD. This pass is also different from the "Leveling Pass" which is a one-time pass for each character that also costs $10 if you want to snag that.
While there is a nice morph available to free players who make it to level 20 of the pass, the real rewards are tied to the premium track, including the bling-tastic Zenus weapon skins. You'll get to select 2 out of the 7 available for capping the pass at level 50. Remember, passes are character specific and, since there's no cross progression, platform specific.
As you work your way through daily, weekly, and all-time quests, you'll net points to spend in the Battle Pass shop on other cosmetics. No, there is no Lucent rewarded at any level of the battle pass. Similar to New World: Aeternum, while you can still claim earned rewards after the season ends, you cannot earn progress on previous passes and most rewards will become unavailable once the season ends.
The pass will be available until October 30th and if you pick it up later, yes, you'll unlock any rewards on the premium track you may have already earned prior to your purchase.
