Action PvPvE Extraction Game “Mistfall Hunter” Announced At Xbox Partner Preview

If you’ve grown tired of extraction games that are shooters and set in modern or sci-fi environments, but still want to play an extraction game of some sort, you might want to give Mistfall Hunter a look. A third-person PvPvE extraction RPG, the game is a Nordic-inspired dark fantasy in which players in groups of up to three fight monsters and other teams in the hope of becoming powerful enough to restore life to the world.

Rather than using guns or tech, Mistfall Hunter is based in a world of magic. Following a battle between the world’s gods, most divine beings have perished and their blood has changed into a golden mist that causes everything it touches to go mad. Only a few humans are left, including a girl capable of channeling supernatural power. She seeks out dead heroes and gives them immortal flesh so that they may fight the creatures spawned by the mist.

During battle, players hoping to escape the ruins will need to locate a monster known as “Returner Woodling” Defeating this creature will earn players the Soul of Return that can create their path home.

Announced today during the Xbox Partner Preview, Mistfall Hunter is headed to Xbox and Steam. Those interested can now add it to their wishlist. The game is slated to launch sometime in 2025
