Arena mode is now in the sequel! SMITE 2's final alpha weekend just kicked off a bit earlier than expected, actually! This weekend sees the MOBA add both Area and Susano to the lineup. Ares brings chains into the action and a combination of slows and stuns will make enemies either flee or stay and face some punishing damage. Susano's storms wreak havoc and the god being one of the fastest in the game gives them quite the ability to get away.
When it comes to modes, the popular Arena mode finally appears in a test for the follow-up. While the 5v5, fast-paced mode will be very similar to the original SMITE, there have been some changes and improvements that the team wants you to provide feedback on post-test.
Finally, more skins make their appearance in SMITE 2 if you own them in SMITE and have linked your accounts. Mr. Squish Ymir, Goth Gourmet The Morrigan and Cosmic Executioner Thanatos are all here now.
This is it for closed alpha weekends, though! If you own a Founder's Pack for SMITE 2, then get ready, 24/7 closed alpha testing is currently scheduled to kick off on August 27th.
