MMOBOMB
Feb 21, 2024
While details aren't exactly plentiful right now seeing as how it is an early announcement, a new studio has popped up based in Sweden called Cult of the North. They are currently working on a new game under the working title of "Project Gundalf" that will utilize Unreal Engine 5 the studio announced today.
Project Gundalf is described as a "massive next-generation MMOBA PvP game" which will pit players against each other. Players will build a kingdom, forge friendships, and battle the gods of Hamarvast. They are currently looking for playtesters so you can check the game out at CultofTheNorth.com. Just a heads up that Malwarebytes really doesn't like their link.
The Cult of the North studio is spearheaded by ex-GM of King and Candy Crush Adam Schaub and Marcus Jacob. Together they account for about 40 years in the gaming industry. The developers consist of former King, Activision, and EA devs among other studios.
Cult of the North says in their initial press release that more information on Project Gundalf will be coming soon, so we'll keep you up-to-date as new info comes out.
