Redfall is saved...ok, maybe not.
Bethesda has rolled out a significant update for the FPS, which was developed by Arkane Studios. The focus is enhancing the shooter's performance and gameplay. This patch includes the-long-promised 60 FPS mode for Xbox Series X|S players, as well as stealth takedowns, new controller settings, accessibility improvements, and various other gameplay changes.
The update expands the open world of Redfall by increasing enemy populations and introducing new encounters. It aims to improve player navigation and collision within the Redfall Commons and Burial Point areas. Additionally, the patch enhances the user interface by providing better tooltips for silenced weapons and improving compass markers and objective search areas.
Accessibility improvements have been made too, including enhanced screen narration, support for navigation control, and narration for various in-game elements. The update also addresses photosensitivity issues and provides additional sensory cues to players.
As for gameplay changes, these include improvements to aim-assist and dead zone tuning, allowing players to customize settings for both controllers and keyboard/mouse. Now, players can now perform stealth takedowns on unaware enemies, and the game's open world population has been increased for better balancing. Combat and enemy behavior have been tweaked and numerous bug fixes have been implemented as well.
Additionally, there are improvements in multiplayer via player indicators, markers, and ping visibility. And specific achievements are now being awarded only during multiplayer sessions when certain conditions are met. The full list of improvements is available on the Redfall site.
