If you were blocking out some time in November for BlizzCon this year, I’m afraid you now have some space in your schedule. Today, Blizzard announced they would not be hosting BlizzCon this year. According to the post, they plan to bring the convention back in the future, but for now, they’ll be sharing information with players via other venues.
The plan for the rest of the year is to share plans for World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, and other games with players via conventions and trade shows. Specifically mentioned is Gamescom, so keep an eye out for that.
Blizzard is also planning multiple in-person events around the world. These are to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Warcraft IP. Of course, there will be in-game celebrations as well.
